Description

Birks Bridge is a bridge over the River Duddon, likely built in the 18th century. It is constructed from stone rubble and features a segmental arch spanning a small ravine, with dressed voussoirs. The parapets include built-in drain pipes to manage water runoff from the roadway and extend to the east, where they have rectangular openings. The bridge is 2.5 meters wide.
