Description
Hall Garth House and the adjoining former stable/barn is a farmhouse and stable/barn that has been converted into a private house. It dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century. The building features painted roughcast walls and is topped with a graduated greenslate roof, which includes painted roughcast chimney stacks. The barn is constructed from Skiddaw slate rubble. The structure is two storeys high and consists of three bays, with the former stable/barn located to the right under a common roof. It has a top-glazed six-panel door and sash windows with glazing bars, all set in painted stone surrounds. The stable/barn section includes two half plank doors and small casement windows, along with 20th-century sash windows featuring glazing bars, all within cement surrounds.
