Description
This building is a bank barn located approximately 80 meters to the south-west of High Ludderburn, likely dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of stone rubble and features a slate roof. The south-east elevation includes a two-storey outshut with a catslide roof on the left side, while the right side has steps leading to a first-floor entrance. There are two cowhouse entrances with cambered arches and a dripcourse above, as well as a blocked winnowing door with a cambered arch.
On the north-east gable end, there are two windows with cambered arches on each floor, along with one window in the gable; one first-floor window is blocked. One window on each floor features a three-light wooden chamfered mullion window, and the gable window has two lights. The north-west elevation has an entrance with a cambered arch and paired barn doors leading up a ramp. The south-west gable end also has a dripcourse. Inside, the barn contains five collar and tie beam trusses.
