Description
Ghyll Cottage is a house with an attached barn located on Potter Fell Road, dating from around 1700, with alterations and extensions made in the 19th century. The barn features stone rubble walls with protruding through stones, while the house is rendered. It has a graduated slate roof with end chimney stacks and is two storeys high. To the left of the door, there are two early 19th-century windows with glazing bars, and to the right, there is a 19th-century sash window. Above, there are three sash windows. The right-hand end has a plinth. Inside, the cottage contains several chamfered beams from around 1700 and an early 19th-century staircase.
