Description
This building is a barn and former cottage, dated 1691 and inscribed over the doorway. It features whitewashed rubble walls and a graduated greenslate roof, along with a rebuilt yellow brick chimney stack. The structure consists of a long, low barn and a former two-bay cottage under a common roof. The former cottage has a plank door set in a painted chamfered stone surround, with two-light casement windows in original 17th-century chamfered stone surrounds, and an oval opening above the door. The barn has a central blocked doorway that has been converted into a window, with a slit vent above it. There is also a large 20th-century sliding corrugated door on the left side. This building is included for its group value with Croft House.
