Description
Boot House and Whillanside is a house and adjoining outbuilding, now functioning as two houses, dating from the 18th century with later alterations. The structure is built of wet-dashed rubble and features a graduated slate roof, with stone ridge and rendered brick end chimneys. It stands two storeys high and has four bays.
Boot House, located on the left, has a panelled door set within a gabled wooden porch, with a sash window to the left and a small fixed window to the right; there are two sash windows above. Whillanside, on the right, features a plank door with a segment-headed window (which may have replaced a door) to the right, and two sash windows above. The interior of Boot House includes beamed ceilings, including a fire beam.
