Description

The Oval, located at 17 West Street in Dunster, is a 17th-century building that has undergone later alterations. It is constructed of rubble sandstone and features a slate roof with eaves. The building is two storeys high, with the left half of the frontage slightly projecting forward. On the first floor, there are four windows with leaded iron casements set in wooden frames. The ground floor has three later wooden casements. The central entrance consists of a square-headed door opening beneath a wooden lintel, with a recessed heavy oak chamfered and flat-arched door frame, leading to a stable-type door.
