Description
This packhorse bridge, likely built in the 17th or 18th century, is located approximately 30 metres west of Leeford Bridge in Brendon. Constructed from coursed rubblestone, the bridge features a humped-back shape with a single round arch made of voussoirs. It has parapets with rubble copings and curved retaining walls at the north abutment. The roadway is cobbled, and there are steps leading down to the south. The bridge spans the River East Lyn, which marks the parish boundary at this location, and it historically connected Brendon Mill, which is not included in this listing, to the north bank of the river.
