Description

The remains of a churchyard cross, dating from the medieval period, are located about 7 metres south of the porch of the Church of St Giles in Hawkridge. This structure is made from local stone and consists of a socket with broached corners and approximately 150 mm of the stump of the shaft. It is not mentioned in Pooley's "Old Crosses of Somerset" from 1877. The cross is listed for its historic interest.
