Description

This barn, likely built in the 18th century, is attached to the north-west side of Easdon Cottage but belongs to Easdon Farmhouse. It features granite rubble walls with larger quoins and a corrugated iron roof with gable ends. The barn has a rectangular plan, probably with a shippon on the ground floor and a loft above, making it two storeys high. The facade is irregular, with two doorways to the left of the centre on the ground floor and a window in between. There is another window to the right of the centre and a loading door at the centre of the first floor. The openings have timber lintels. Inside, there are substantial cross beams on the ground floor that are roughly chamfered, and the original roof is pegged. The barn forms a group with Easdon Farmhouse.
