Description
The water trough located in the center of the farmyard at Bagtor Barton is a Grade II listed structure, dating from the 18th century or early 19th century, and possibly even earlier. It is made of granite and is fed by a partly covered stream that flows through the farmyard. The stream originates from the north-west corner of the yard and is covered just above the trough by large granite blocks. The water first empties into a small trough made from a single piece of granite, which then flows into a much larger trough lined with large blocks of granite. After this, the water runs away underground to the south-east.
