Description
The Toll House at King's Bridge is a building from the early 19th century, constructed with rendered granite rubble walls that have a light render on the sides. It features a low-pitched slate hipped roof and a rendered, likely brick, axial chimney stack. The building has a rectangular plan, with the end facing the road having splayed corners and a central doorway that likely leads directly into the main front room, which is separated from the rear room by the axial stack. There is a single-storey outshut at the rear. The structure is two storeys high and has a symmetrical three-sided canted front with a central blocked window above the door. The central door is set within a 20th-century lean-to porch and has a plank door. The early 19th-century 12-pane sash windows are located on the splayed sides, while 20th-century casement windows are found on either side. The interior has not been inspected.
