Description

Lydford Bridge is a road bridge over the River Lyd. It contains some medieval fabric but was significantly widened, likely in the 20th century. The oldest section at the bottom is made of stone rubble, while the later modifications are in dressed granite. The bridge features a single span pointed arch with double unchamfered arch rings. It is recorded in a document from 1478 and is designated as a Scheduled Ancient Monument No 17.
