Description

The road bridge over the River Meavy, located at SX 526656, dates from the 18th century and was likely repaired in the late 19th or 20th century. It is constructed of rubble with dressed granite voussoirs and coping stones. The bridge features a single span that forms an almost elliptical arch, which has a projecting keystone and a recessed arch ring on the downstream side. The upstream side of the arch has been rebuilt. Additionally, the bridge has cranked parapets and swept out abutments.
