Description
Owley Cottage is a cottage dating from the 17th to 18th century. It is constructed of granite rubble and has a slate roof with half-hipped ends. The right-hand (north) end features a slightly higher roof that has been reclad in asbestos slates. The building appears to have an altered two-room plan with a later wing that forms an L-shape. It stands two storeys high and has a two-window range with 20th-century casements. There is a projecting granite lateral chimney-stack on the front left side with set-offs, and another chimney-stack at the north end. At the rear, there is a lean-to and an early 19th-century wing with a gable end stack.
