Description

This wayside stone, located at SX 742 887, is a guidestone that likely dates from the early 19th century. It is made of roughly hewn granite and features inscriptions on each face. The front is marked with the letter "M" for Moretonhampstead, the left side has a "C" for Chagford, the rear displays "D.I." for Drewsteignton, and the right side is marked with an "E" for Exeter.
