Description

This is a medieval wayside cross located in Moretonhampstead. It is made of roughly hewn granite and features a monolithic Latin cross with short arms, although the left arm is broken off. The front face of the cross is inscribed with a Greek cross, and there are slots on the back, suggesting it may have originally been used as a slotted gate post.
