Description
Ash House is located about 20 metres south-west of Higher Combe Farmhouse. This round building dates from the 19th century or earlier and is constructed of granite rubble. It features a conical stone roof that is covered with 20th-century thatch. The front has a doorway with a lintel and jambs made from large pieces of granite, and it has a plank door with strap-hinges. At the rear, there is a small opening with a wrought-iron door, likely used for inserting ashes. The interior of the building has been plastered.
