Description
This building is a row of shippons with a hay tallet above, located approximately 8 metres to the north-west of Bowden Farmhouse. It dates from the early to mid-19th century and features granite rubble walls with larger quoins. The roof is made of corrugated iron and is gable-ended. Each shippon has separate access on the ground floor, with a possible stable at the left end and an open-fronted hay tallet above. The structure is two storeys high and has an asymmetrical front with four irregularly placed doorways on the ground floor, along with a window opening to the left, all featuring granite lintels. On the first floor, there are five wide openings to the hay tallet, divided by monolithic granite posts, which are now filled in with weatherboarding.
