Description

The remains of a cross are located immediately east of the southeast lychgate of St Petrock's Church on Church Street in South Brent. This structure is a section of the shaft of a preaching cross, which has been re-erected. It is likely of medieval origin, although it is not in its original position. The cross is made of granite and stands approximately 2 feet 6 inches above the ground, with an octagonal shape. Only this short section of the shaft remains.
