Description
This linhay, located approximately 10 metres north of Southmeads, dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It features granite rubble walls and monolithic granite piers at the front on the ground floor. The roof is made of corrugated iron with gable ends, and the structure has two storeys. The front is asymmetrical, with granite posts at regular intervals on the ground floor, which are infilled by granite rubble walls. The first floor is open-fronted, supported by wooden posts that extend above the granite posts. This building is part of an important group of farm buildings and early houses in a small moorland settlement on the edge of Dartmoor.
