Description
This building is a barn located approximately 30 metres to the north-east of Wray Barton, dating from the later 19th century. It features granite rubble walls with dressed granite detailing and a wooden boarded roof. The barn has a long rectangular plan with a basement beneath one end. It is primarily a single storey, except for the right-hand end, which is two storeys high.
The north-west front has regularly spaced door and window openings, all featuring segmental arches with projecting keystones. There is a door inserted at the far right, which is accessed by steps. The right gable end faces directly onto the road and has a rounded corner on the ground floor that is corbelled out above. At the top of the gable, there is a large quatrefoil window, and below it is a granite doorway with a hoodmould. To the left of this doorway is an arched doorway with a projecting keystone, which is now partially blocked and originally led to the basement. The south-east side of the barn has regularly spaced lancet windows, with an outshut to the left of centre and a dormer window to the right of centre.
