Description

This is a house dating from the 16th century, located on the west side of Hailes Street in Winchcombe. The ground floor is rendered, while the upper level displays close-studded vertical timber framing, projecting over the street. The roof is covered in stone slates, and a substantial external gable stack is located on the right. A rubble plinth supports the building.

The upper floor has five windows; these are two-light, one three-light, one small three-light casements with leading, and two oriels. One oriel sits above a stone stall riser, while the other is larger, with a 1:4:1 arrangement of horizontal bars. On the gable return, to the right, is a two-light casement above a plank door.

The interior retains heavy timber ceiling structures, and a large open bressummer fire is found at the right end of the house.
