Description
28 George Street is an 18th-century building that stands two storeys high, constructed of painted rubble. The front features a slate roof with two chimneys, while the rear and extensions have a stone tile roof. The building has irregular window placements, including one sash window with glazing bars, one three-light window, and a blocked two-light mullion window on the first floor. The ground floor has three windows and three plain doors. The gable end facing the road includes a glazing bar sash window on the first floor and an angled shop window bay on the ground floor. At the rear, there is a blind gabled turret, which may have been used for stairs or a stack, and a set-back extension that features a two-light mullion window with a drip on the first floor.
