Description

Stoykes Close is a detached house dating from the early 18th century, situated in Bisley-with-Lypiatt near Oakridge Lynch. The exterior is constructed of random rubble limestone with ashlar chimneys and a stone slate roof. The house is two storeys high with an attic.

The front elevation has a two-window arrangement. The ground floor features 2-light and 3-light chamfered mullioned casements, each with a hood mould. The upper floor has 2-light casements with hoods. Some windows are now fitted with 20th-century leaded iron casements. The central doorway has been altered in the 20th century, featuring a concrete lintel and a plank door. Gable end chimneys are topped with chamfered caps.

The rear has 2-light and 3-light casements to the ground floor, and a central upper floor timber casement with a concrete lintel. A central doorway connects to the rear, fitted with a glazed door. The west end displays a 2-light casement with a hoodmould to the ground floor, alongside a 20th-century inserted single-light window to the upper floor. The interior of the property has not been inspected.
