Description

The Moorings is an early 18th-century building, altered in the mid-19th century, originally a pair of dwellings. It is constructed of rubble with a Cotswold stone roof. A one-window extension to the right has a slate roof and a gable end featuring a blocked two-light mullion window and a single-light attic window with a cornice. Small-pane, mid-19th century, two-light casement windows are linked by common 17th-century drips. The ground floor features a raised drip over a chamfered doorway with rounded corners to the lintel, and a six-panel door with the upper two panels glazed. Deeds date back to 1669. The interior has been modernised, with traces of a newel stair and a bread oven remaining. A blocked mullion window is present on the return.
