Description

The Duke of York Public House is a mid-19th century building located at 22 Nelson Street. It is constructed of painted brick and features a pitched slate roof. The building stands two storeys high with attics and is adorned with a moulded stucco cornice and parapet. It has three ranges of double-hung sash windows, which include glazing bars set within moulded stucco embrasures that also have cornices. The entrance door is accompanied by an oblong fanlight within the same embrasure. Additionally, there are two attic dormers. The public house is part of a group with Nos 19 to 22, which are consecutive properties.
