Description
A group of three monuments located in the churchyard approximately 2 meters northwest of the vestry to the Church of St John the Baptist. These chest tombs date from the early 17th century to the early 18th century and are made of limestone. The group includes: one plain rectangular chest tomb with an inscription in serif capitals dedicated to Randulph Meisy, a preacher who died in 1628; a chest tomb featuring panelled corner pilasters and fielded side panels, with illegible inscriptions and a plate on top inscribed to Hester Thomas, who died in 1850; and a lyre-ended chest tomb with two double oval panels on the north side resembling a figure of eight, with illegible inscriptions.
