Description

This is a railway boundary marker dating from around 1845. It consists of a cast iron disc mounted on an iron post. The circular disc measures approximately 200 millimeters in diameter and 50 millimeters thick. It features a raised line around the border and raised lettering that reads 'GREAT WESTERN RAILWAY Cmp' and 'BOUNDARY' at the center. The disc is fixed horizontally on a Barlow rail post.
