Description
Walkleywood Cottages, located on Shortwood Road, consists of three back-to-back cottages, with No. 3 likely being older than Nos 1 and 2, which were built in 1862. No. 3 features two storeys and an attic, constructed from coursed rubble and topped with a Cotswold stone roof. It has brick end chimneys with moulded capping and three windows that are mullion-type casements with moulded heads and labels. The central six-panel door shares similar details, and there is a panel to the left inscribed with "Walkleywood Cottage." To the right, there is a lower two-storey, two-window addition. Nos 1 and 2 are rendered and have a slate roof with coped verges and a moulded cornice. They contain four windows, which are two-light mullion-type casements with a continuous dropped and returned label. The paired six-panel doors are located in the centre of these cottages.
