Description
This is a detached house located approximately 30 meters north of the Old Mill building at Longfords Mill, dating from around 1800 and enlarged in the early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed rubble limestone, with brick rebuilt chimneys and a concrete tile roof. The house is three stories tall.
The front of the house features the earliest part on the right, which originally had a pedimented doorway that has been moved to a new central position during the enlargement. This doorway is flanked by rusticated stone columns and contains a six-panel door. The earlier part has two segmental arched casement windows, with one central casement window on the upper floor. To the left, there is additional similar casement fenestration. The gable-end chimneys have been rebuilt in brick. At the rear, there is a single-storey outshut. The interior has not been inspected. This house was likely built as the residence for a foreman or manager.
