Description

This chest tomb, located approximately 5 meters south of the chancel of the Church of St Swithun, dates from 1765. The inscriptions on its sides are not legible. It is constructed from dressed and carved stone slabs, featuring a chest made of upright slabs set on a base slab with a moulded edge. The capping slab also has a projecting moulded edge, and each end of the tomb is adorned with a carved gadroon moulding.
