Description
The Harrison Memorial is an altar tomb located in the churchyard about 44 metres southeast of the chancel of the Church of St. Mary the Virgin. It dates back to the early 19th century, with the earliest decipherable inscription from 1803. The memorial is made of sandstone and features a square shape with a hollow moulded capping and plinth. It has a two-tiered square ornamental top that rises to a pyramidal finial. Each side of the tomb is adorned with large oval panels that contain inscriptions, and it is decorated with an acanthus leaf frieze.
