Description
The Green monument is a pedestal tomb located in the churchyard, about 14 meters east of the chancel of the Church of St. Andrew. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of stone. The tomb features a small, square pyramid shape with a moulding along the edge and a scotia. There is a step leading up to a flat lid that also has a moulded edge. Below the lid is a vertical-leaf frieze, and the corners of the tomb are adorned with very elongated quarter-square balusters. The sides of the monument display nearly-pointed ovals formed by a raised rim, with paterae in the corners. It has a moulded base and commemorates Thomas Green, who died in 1802, and Anne Wickesy, who died in 1811.
