Description
The Clark monument is a pedestal tomb located in the churchyard, about 1 metre southeast of the southeast corner of the nave of the Church of St. Anne. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of stone. The monument features a small square domed knob with a swept top leading to a roll moulding and step, along with a steeply weathered cap and a step to a moulded edge. It has a fluted frieze with paterae at the corners and center. The side includes a sunk framed rectangular panel with a raised oval center and corner tendrils. The base is moulded. The monument commemorates Sarah Clark, who died in 1816, and her sister, who died in 1832. The lettering on the monument is of good quality.
