Description
Quay House is a large detached dwelling dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. It has a rendered exterior, with some areas featuring Welsh slate, but is primarily covered with concrete tiles. The street-facing elevation includes a one-windowed unit that was added in the 19th century to the left of the original house, which has two string courses and a plain attic band above. The windows are irregularly arranged, mostly consisting of two-light casements, with one three-light casement centrally located on the first floor of the original block. On the ground floor to the right, there is a deep two-light casement with a segmental head. A large new flat-roofed entrance unit and door have been added. The right gable is made of brick and features a basement. The river-facing side is constructed of brick and has three and a half storeys with three-windowed new metal casements set under half-brick segmental arches, along with single brick string courses at each floor level and two dormers. To the right, there are three modern three-light sash windows.
