Description
The stables and former coach house at Kingscote Park, dating from the mid to late 19th century, are constructed from coursed stone and feature a hipped stone slate roof. The building is arranged in a U-shape with an open corner to the northwest and is a single storey with an attic for the former groom's lodgings on the northeast side, which includes a small brick stack. Originally, there were double coach bays on the left and a single bay on the right, along with four stable doors arranged in pairs, separated by 2-light windows, and a central plain door leading into the long stable range at the center of the U-shape. All openings have segmental heads. The coach bays on the left have been infilled and now feature stable doors, while the right side has a window. In the right-hand corner, there is a lower segmental arch over a door and window leading to the groom's quarters, which also includes a hipped 2-light dormer and a 2-light casement window on the outer wall.
