Description
Chapel Cottage is a detached cottage that was formerly two cottages, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is built of coursed squared and dressed limestone, featuring a stone slate and slate roof, with brick and artificial stone stacks. The cottage has a rectangular plan with a lean-to at the left gable end and a small 20th-century extension that projects forward from the front right. There is a greenhouse at the right gable end, but it is not of special interest.
The two-storey facade has two windows, which are lit by two and three-light stone-mullioned casements, along with two 20th-century wooden casements. Most of the windows have horizontal glazing bars. The former left-hand cottage has a 19th-century plank door, and there is a 19th-century lean-to on the left with a single plank door. The building features a gable end and an axial stack. The interior has not been inspected.
