Description
The White House is a house, originally two separate homes, built in the mid-18th century with 20th-century alterations. It features coursed squared limestone rubble that has been painted, with a stone slate roof and brick and rendered stacks at both ends. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a two-window range. On the first floor, there are two 20th-century two-light timber casement windows with exposed timber lintels, and the ground floor has two similar windows. A 19th-century timber lean-to double porch with a stone slate roof has a 20th-century plank door on the left side. There are also two hipped dormers with 20th-century two-light timber casements. A lean-to extension on the left side may date back to the 18th century, and there is a 20th-century extension at the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
