Description
The monument to John Savery, who died in 1828, is located in the churchyard of the Church of St. Michael, approximately 6 metres south-east of the porch. This pedestal tomb is made of limestone and has a square plan. It features raised inscription plaques on all four sides, with the plaques on the north and south sides having decorative indented corners, while those on the east and west sides are adorned with fine mouldings at the edges. Above the plaques is a frieze with a festoon design, and there are hanging bell flowers on either side of the inscription plaques on the north and south. The tomb is capped with a moulded pyramidal top that has a pineapple finial.
