Description
This icehouse, dating from the 18th to mid-19th century, is located approximately 50 meters south of Cerney House, next to the path leading to the stables. It features a segmental-headed entrance made of cyclopean rain-pitted limestone, with dressed stone quoins at the base of the doorway. The entrance is fitted with a slatted plank door. Inside, there is a short barrel-vaulted passage that leads to a small oval chamber, which is about 9 meters high and 3.5 meters wide. This icehouse is notable for its picturesque entrance and the compact size of its chamber.
