Description
This dovecote, located approximately 25 meters northeast of The Manor House, dates from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It is constructed from random limestone rubble and features a stone slate roof on the dovecote itself, with an artificial stone slate roof on the lean-to extension. The dovecote has a square plan and includes a lean-to on the northeast side, with gables on each side.
There is a single double-chamfered window towards the apex of the gable on the south side, and a similar window on the west gable. The south side also has an off-centre, right-placed 20th-century plank door with a timber lintel. To the right of this door, there is a single-width doorway leading to the lean-to, along with a small opening above it. The dovecote features a cross-gabled roof topped with an open-sided lantern that has a pyramidal roof at its center. Inside, there are stone pigeon holes on all four walls and original roof timbers.
