Description

The double gate, dating from the 18th century, is located approximately 40 meters northwest of Westcote Manor. It is made of wrought iron and features piers and a wall on either side that are from the 20th century and are not of special interest. The central motif of each gate includes a shield with various weapons and trumpets projecting from behind it. The gates are further adorned with intricate scrollwork that incorporates finely worked roses. This gate was originally brought from Compton's Brow in Horsham, where the house has since been demolished.
