Description
This is an early 19th-century house, with later 19th-century alterations, potentially built on an earlier site. It is constructed of coursed squared limestone with a Welsh slate roof, and has rendered stacks at the right-hand end and along the rear wall. The house has a double-pile plan, meaning it is two rooms deep. It presents a three-window front, with two storeys. The first floor features three 19th-century three-light timber casement windows, each with a keyed lintel and a large, vermiculated keystone. The ground floor has one similar two-light casement window, and one 19th-century two-pane hornless sash window, also with a similar lintel. The front door has six flush panels and a fanlight, set within a round-headed opening with a matching keystone. A painted sign in the reveal to the right reads "D GIBBONS / SIGN WRITER", likely dating from the 19th century. Flush quoins are visible at the left and right-hand angles. The interior has not been inspected. The appearance of disturbed masonry on the front wall suggests that the current window and door openings may be the result of later alterations.
