Description
This is an unidentified headstone from the 17th century, located about 5 metres south of the Richard Phillips monument in the churchyard of the Church of St. Thomas. The headstone is made of limestone and features a shield with a central rosette and the head of a winged cherub above it. There is deeply incised foliate decoration on either side. It is considered the best example among a group of 17th to 18th century headstones situated to the south of the church.
