Description
Sedgecombe House is a building from the 17th and 18th centuries that was remodelled in 1926. It has an 'L'-shaped plan and is a two-storey structure made of rubble, located at the corner with Blockley Road. The roof is covered with Cotswold stone, and there are two modern ashlar chimneys. The building features irregular fenestration across four bays, with a large rectangular two-storey bay, which was the former entry, positioned to the right of the centre. This bay has stone surrounds for its many-light oak mullion windows, while the other windows have timber lintels. To the left of the centre, there is a hipped half-glazed porch that is accessed by steps. Additionally, there is an earlier thatched 1½ storey wing to the east, constructed from rougher rubble, which includes three dormers and four irregularly placed windows. This wing has an ashlar ridge chimney with moulded capping.
