Description
This is a late 17th and early 18th century building, originally consisting of a house and attached barn. It is constructed of coursed rubble and has a steeply pitched roof of Cotswold stone. The main two-storey, two-window section has four-light casement windows on the ground floor and three-light casement windows above, all with stone mullions, leaded lights, wrought iron catches, and drip moulds. A stone doorway features a basket arch and retains its original door, and is protected by a gabled porch. A central ashlar stack is present. The east gable has similar two-light windows. A lower rear wing adjoins the main building which then connects to a large barn to the west. The barn shares the same roof line, but with slightly lower eaves, and incorporates central cart doors and various openings, including triangular-shaped arches and casement windows.
