Description
Talbot House, formerly known as the Fosse Way Hotel, is an early 18th-century building that was refenestrated in the early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed rubble and features a Cotswold stone roof. The building stands three storeys tall with an attic and has three windows across the front. The ground floor has paned sashes with a mullion between them, while the central entrance consists of a modern glazed door with a hood above. The first floor has sixteen-pane sashes flanking a six-pane window, and the second floor has twelve-pane sashes flanking another six-pane window. All windows are fitted with glazing bars and stone architraves. The roof is adorned with three gabled dormers, each featuring two-light casements. Inside, there is a staircase with turned balusters, a closed string, and a wide handrail, except for the lower flight.
