Description
The Old Bakehouse and Buttys is a 16th-century building that has been altered and now serves as two shops. It is constructed of rubble and features a 20th-century orange tile roof. The building stands one and a half storeys tall and has three windows, including three-light mullion windows in the dormer gables, with the right-hand one having a label. On the ground floor, there is a modern shop window on the right and a mid-19th-century door and window with a common lintel on the left.
Inside, there is a cast-iron bread oven from the mid-19th century, made by Kemp and Sons of London, located at the rear of the shop.
