Description
Conduit House is a 17th-century rectangular building associated with Campden Manor for Sir Baptist Hicks. It is constructed from ashlar stone and features a tall four-centre arch roof made of coursed stone flags, giving it a vaulted appearance. The walls and roof are separated by a continuous cornice. There is a low four-centre arched doorway on the south side. This notable building served until the early 20th century, providing water to Hicks' Almshouses, the Vicarage, and several troughs along its route. Inside, it retains a spring-head trough and various graffiti, with the earliest dating back to the 1680s.
